This year I would like to be able to award one scholarship per month (more if funds available)
to someone in need. I wish to help support those students who meet the following criteria guidelines.
1. Have spent their childhood in hill tribe village.
2. Currently active in church and with community service.
3. Has intent to return to his/her own village as a teacher or mentor.
4. Has no opportunity of monetary support from their own family.
For a Thai student the average cost for university tuition per semester is 10,000 Baht (around $340).
With 3 semesters a year the total tuition expense would be 30,000 Baht ($1000).
Only for example—
For roughly $85 per month we could fully assist with tuition
for one student.
For roughly $350 per month we could help one student (or more)
per month by covering one semester of tuition
(or several students with partial tuition or school books and other necessities)
to cover a shortfall in finances.
However you run the numbers the facts are that there are many students who will never be able to
achieve their goal without someone reaching out and leading a hand. I do not consider it giving charity,
